If you use Internet banking at Dexia, Fortis, ING, KBC, CBC, AXA, VDK Spaarbank of FINTRO you can pay directly with your own bank card in combination with the familiar bank card reader of your bank. You pay quickly and easily in the familiar Internet payment environment of your own bank. Paying the way you are used to.
You don’t yet have a bank card reader of your bank? This is possible since Internet banking has only recently been introduced in Belgium. Your own bank card reader is probably waiting for you at your own bank, where you can pick it up, mostly free of charge. Ask your bank about it!
DIRECTebanking (B, NL & international) NEW! As of 1 March 2009 you can also pay via DIRECTebanking, with which bank account holders in various European countries, including the Benelux countries, can pay in real-time (which means at the moment that the transaction is a success the amount due by you will be immediately debited to your bank account and credited to the web shop) in a way that resembles Dutch iDEAL (see iDEAL afore).
DIRECTebanking offers electronic payment via the Internet at which you are using the safe and familiar environment of the Internet banking program of your own bank. You pay your online purchase in the same way as you normally would make an Internet bank transfer. That’s as easy as you can get it! The biggest difference between DIRECTebanking and iDEAL/Mister Cash is that to use iDEAL or Mister Cash your bank must be one of the participating banks, whereas at DIRECTebanking it suffices for your bank to offer a payment solution via the Internet in the form of an Internet banking program. So the sole requirement to be able to pay via DIRECTebanking is that your bank offers the possibility to settle your financial affairs via Internet banking. The service that DIRECTebanking offers is therefore not restricted to only the participating banks.
